Revenge

The Collectors came up with a plan to infiltrate a party being thrown by Oldyle Belark, the scum who burned down Doulvis’ house and executed Jasp’s brother, Fenrik, years ago. Jasp would pose as the cousin of Doulvis and say he is there to pay respects after his cousin died in a tragic fire. Boris wore a classy tuxedo and played the role of Jasp’s bodyguard, while Lynx dressed in a fancy gown and pretended to be Jasp’s wife. Lynx mingled and solicited votes to get Jasp on the merchant council while Jasp managed to slip some poison into Belark’s drink. At the stroke of midnight, the poison kicked in, injuring Belark but not quite finishing him off. Jasp struck with his poison laced dagger that Boris smuggled in. And, in a shocking turn of events, Fenrik himself emerged from a portal and dealt the fatal blow to Belark, avenging his own death. Fenrik explained to Jasp they needed to leave together to speak with their parents. Jasp said goodbye to his friends and went through the portal with Fenrik. As the portal disappeared, Nayte was left standing in the spot where the portal was moments ago.
